Which medicals require blood tests, or any kind of needles? I have a tendency to pass out after giving blood, so I'm just wondering how often I can expect to be subjected to bloodwork if I fly for a living? |

I've never had my blood taken at a medical in the last 7 years. I'm sure myflightsurgeon could tell you if there is any kind of condition that would require a blood test.

Faa requires no blood tests. We do blood tests at pilot's requests for cholesterol and HIV frequently.

If you really want a medical, make sure you're in bed when you pass out!
