Default Insurance for Medical?

Hi Doc,

If memory serves correct, I used my health insurance to cover all except the co-pay for my 1st class physical several years ago? Now I am being told that insurance does not cover the cost of a 1st class and the Dr. office I have an appointment with will not submit a claim to my insurance provider. What's the story now-a-days?

Thanks!

Default Re: Insurance for Medical?

Most insurances pay for ONLY 1 physical per year, but they do not count a Flight Physical as a regular physical. Due to ICD-9 codes. (which are different due to types of physicals). But they could bill you as a physical in their paperwork. But that depends on the office you go to.

In our office we do not accept ANY insurance but we give you the receipt and you submit it yourself.
