Default Gastritis

I was recently diagnosed with mild Gastritis and prescribed Prevacid. I have since reduced my intake of caffeine, alcohol, and milk, the combination which I believe is the cause of my condition.

My question is what are the ramifications on maintaining a 1st class medical.

Thank you

It is best to speak with you AME about your condition and medication. That is your most reliable source of info about these types of things.

The main purpose of this forum is to ask an AME medical questions, hence the name "Ask a Flight Surgeon."

Here's your sign.

Sorry for the delay. I just got home last night from a vacation.

If your gastritis is controlled with medications and you have not been formally diagnosed with an ulcer, it is not a problem. Just report the medication and make a statement in Box 18 that you no longer have symptoms.
