Default weight problem

sir,
i have cleared my class 1 medical and i am planning to go to US for my flying training. the class 1 medical was cleared but the doctor said according to my height(164cm) my weight should be 55 but my weight is 60.
i wanted to know if my weight could cause any problems in flying or clearing FAA medical?

Default Re: weight problem

There are no defined weight standards. If the obesity is significant enough to interfere with safe operation of an aircraft then it may be an issue. I have guys who fly the Airbus and are 300 pounds where they probably could not get into a Pitts S-1.
