| Old Skool | I have developed a bone spur in one foot. I have been doing the stretching exercises, but its fairly painfull when I get up in the morning. Any recomendations, and how bad is surgery for this? Thanks!

| Bone spurs are an excuse for someone to make money in surgery. The real problem is inflammation of the planter fascia of the foot. My advice is 1) stretches, 2) ibuprofen 800 mg 3 times a day, and 3 wear New Balance shoes (preferably in the 1000 series) from the time you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night. You will have to do this for at least 3 months. |
