I had PRK about one year ago in March 2007. Everything was fine early on, and I was on the normal path to recovery for the first couple of months with my eyes stabilizing and initial halos and starbursts going away within a month. However, what's really bugging me is that all the way up until the 6-month point, everything was fine, until I started noticing starbursts and halos and glare in dim light. I don't know what exactly why this has been happening, but I do know that when I temporarily shine a light into my eye and look away in dim light, all the starbursts go away temporarily leading me to believe that one of the causes is due to the first doctor misjudging the size of my pupil and creating an ablation area that was/is too small. I was wondering if there is a possibility of me being able to receive a PRK enhancement to correct this problem. Also what are the risks of PRK enhancements for this purpose, and what should I do to research this and/or doctors who specialize in this? If anyone has any experience or knowledge about this, your advice/input would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much for your input. |

I would consult an ophthalmologist who specializes in doing just refractive surgery for an opinion.
