| I assume you are referring to the area on the visual field the represents the optic nerve. The nerve enters the back of the eye and there are no rods or cones (nerve endings) over the spot where it enters, thus the blind spot. It is there all of the time. |

| Lol, well I was hoping for something slightly more technical...let me dig out my manuals and I will ask a more specific set of questions...
