Default Cut finger (slightly) but blood won't stop flowing

Doug cut his finger...been bleeding now about 10 minutes.. it's a minor skin cut really.. but it won't stop bleeding, even with pressure.

what to do? Thanks

btw.. is the non-clotting from the lipitor he's on?

well, it's been 15 and it's finally slowing down..it's not even a deep cut, that's what weird.

he's normally clotted just fine, so i really wonder if the lipitor has a play in this? should he cut back on it?

Just put a tight bandaid on it overnight.

The Lipitor has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, that was a little weird. Here I just got thru teasing TonyW a few days ago about cutting his hand making breakfast and now that ultra-sharp Wustoff utility knife slices of a sliver of epidermis.

You'd almost think I had caught and gutted a havelina in my kitchen!

1st thing would be to step away from the computer and help him. He may faint from blood loss... Hope all is better.

Hey, those wustoff are sharp!

I thank my finger bone, for saving the rest of my finger from being sliced off.

ummm i'm not a nurse, so fainting would have been on my end, not his

in fact, you would have thought i would have had the cut, not him ....hahaha

i did help him change from paper towel to gauze tho....he's a strong boy though, able to take care of me and him!! HAHAHA (yea, i know... sad but true)

we just couldn't figure out why it would bleed so much considering it's more like a facial cut.

Ouch.

I had just honed it a bit too, that's the worst part.

I've found a nice mixture of dirt, grease and engine oil works to clot quite well.
