Angry Broken nose?

The same 2 year old that stuck his finger in Bill's eye last month decided to flail wildly 3 days ago and head-butt my face. Bill heard the sickening *crack* upon impact, and he was several feet away.

It hurts more now than it did an hour after the event. Nothing appears to be separated or crooked, but it now makes a *click* noise and hurts like the dickens when touched. Surprisingly there's only very mild swelling and no visible bruising. So if it is broken, it's not broken that bad.

How long is this going to hurt for?

And how on earth can someone so little inflict so much pain?!

Karma for locking the boobies thread. KIDDING! Sorry to hear that. I have broke mine 3 times already. I thought each of them were not that big of a deal and didn't think anything of it. I wish I did think they were a big deal and got them checked out. Good luck. I don't even remember what I did to help with the pain.

Sounds like someone's 2 yr old needs sedation and a straightjacket!

Go see an ENT!! Sounds like you have a fracture. If the lateral nasal bones are fractures and the fracture is depressed, they should be fixed.

Geez, Amber, that's one ACTIVE toddler! Seriously, hope you get it checked out and feel better soon.

I raised two little boys too - you have my sympathy. Now you know why I'm a little batty. Hope it feels better soon.

I think parents have been asking that question for ages. That irrational temper tantrum, seziure-esqe freak out that toddlers do has got to be one of the worst/hardest parts of parenting. Hope you get better soon.
