Can a vitreous detachment disqualify someone from obtaining a 1st or 2nd class Medical. If no, what must one bring to the AME ? Thanx

You will need to have a Form 8500-7 completed by the ophthalmologist. If there are no significant defects it will not be a problem. If there are defects, it may take a Special Issuance. Can't say without knowing whether or not there are visual defects.

| I wish it was at the computer but it's more of looking at the heart monitor's at work and trying to figure out the new ETCO2 modules they installed. But the reason why I'm asking and I should have explained, I worked with a tech the other day and he stated he wanted to fly but he had a vitreous detachment and thought I'd ask the good Doc here about it.
