|  eye problems
Can a vitreous detachment disqualify someone from obtaining a 1st or 2nd class Medical. If no, what must one bring to the AME ? Thanx

You will need to have a Form 8500-7 completed by the ophthalmologist. If there are no significant defects it will not be a problem. If there are defects, it may take a Special Issuance. Can't say without knowing whether or not there are visual defects.

But the reason why I'm asking and I should have explained, I worked with a tech the other day and he stated he wanted to fly but he had a vitreous detachment and thought I'd ask the good Doc here about it.
