| sir, i aspire to become a pilot, i just got my class2 medical done and my hearing average was 40db, i wanted to know whether i'll clear my class 1 medical with this hearing power? will my ambition to become a pilot end here because of my hearing loss? i'll be glad if my query is cleared |

| Senior Member | If you have hearing loss and fail parts of the audiogram, you will still be ok if you can: "Demonstrate hearing of an average conversational voice in a quiet room, using both ears at 6 feet, with the back turned to the examiner." Can you hear a guy speaking from 6 feet behind you? If you can, you'll pass and get a normal 1st class medical with no restrictions. |
