Hello, I did a VFR XC flight this afternoon at 5,500ft. with a slight cold and now my left ear is completly blocked. Each fall I get either a cold and or allergy and would like to know if any over-the-counter medications are both approved by the FAA and effective. ...any remedy for the blocked ear? Thanks, Eric Last edited by ftyflyboy; September 13th, 2007 at 20:19. |

Over the counter medication includes Claritin (a non-sedating antihistamine) and Afrin. You can only use Afrin for 3-5 days. For the acute problem today, use the Afrin. |

Afrin works wonders but don't over use it because it makes the situation worse!
