Default Heart devices and pins in feet

A couple questions:
  1. A few years ago my mom nearly died of a cardiac arrest. After that my sister and I had our hearts checked out. I seem to recall them noticing something strange about my heart, but I wasnt something to be worried about. If later in life I end up getting a heart pacer thing, is that a disqualification?
  2. A couple years ago I had to get my feet realigned so they would grow straight, and maybe stop one foot from growing faster than the other. They ended up puting pins in my feet to hold bones together. Are the pins a disqualification? I know I am not eligible for the armed services because of them.
Thanks.

You can get a medical certificate with both of these conditions. The pacemaker or defibrillator would require a Special Issuance. The operation on the feet will only require that you can operate the controls of an aircraft.

Thanks for the info. I am guessing the special issuance isnt all that hard to get?

Special Issuance is just supply what they need. As a service, we process these for people who have trouble dealing with the FAA. http://www.faaspecialissuance.com
