| Doc, I passed a required physical for high school with flying colors. I was wondering if you could give me some insight into my passing an FAA Medical. My blood pressure was 134/80, height: 6' 6.5" Weight: 322lbs. Thanks for all the help. |

| DogFlyer, Depends on which class your going for. 1st class being the most strengent. (sp) Having just taken the the 1st class medical myself, I can tell you that your eyes better be top notch. Damn that was hard....was for me anyways. But I passed. My only hurdle is that I had a kidney stone a few years back, but I have the required paperwork for the FAA to look over. I should be issued my certificate in the next few weeks. |

| I don't know. He may not do a lot of these. 85% of AME's perform fewer than 25 exam a year, thus they are not totally familiar with the processes and don't want to take the time from a busy schedule to research the process. It is easier for them to defer to the FAA. |
