...to have an occasional cigarette? Say, one every few days. Or a couple (like three) on a weekend. (No worries about me starting back up "regular" - I haven't yet, and can't even imagine it.)

Sure....keep telling yourself that. First it was only when I drank when others. Then it was one or two on the weekend with beer and pizza. Then it was one or two after dinner. Then it was only in the evenings after a long day. Then it was one after lunch...then it was a pack a day before I realized it. Now its cigars. I'm not inhaling...it that okay? |

| Old Skool | I was doing really great with the quitting until I needed ( ) to smoke one because I was having a stressful day (the whole stolen wallet incident) and guess who's a full time smoker again, needing to quit again?! Just say no! |

I'll TRY to have one everyonce in awhile when I drink to intensify the buzz for a short while. I have yet to actually be able to smoke a whole cigarette, or actually really get any smoke into my lungs. I think there has only been one time when I've actually inhaled enough to get a buzz. ![]() I can tell why I'm not ever gona be a regular smoker. I can't even smoke!

It is probably not a major issue. The problem with tobacco addiction is that it is as bad a cocaine to get off. Even a few can re-trigger the addiction.

| I'd hoped not. I'm not a huge proponent of any kind of abstinence (unless it's necessary), so I was kind of counting on a minor indulgence not being a big deal. Cool!

One thing my co-workers talk about when they quit is their triggers. If you know your triggers (why you smoke), you can avoid them, if possible. One nurse I work with carries nicorette gum. He starts chewing if the day starts getting bad. Not sure if that helps but..... Goodluck trying to stay ciggy free.
