Default Pregnant Passenger

I am planning on flying from FXE to CAE (about a 5 hour trip) pick up my friend and his wife and bring them back down to FXE and then bring them back up..

We will be flying a Cessna 172SP, my friend's wife is pregnant and she will be 3 months in at the time, do you think it would be safe to have her on board as a passenger? I know it wouldn't be a big deal on an airliner but this is a different story

Thanks
Nick

It should not be an issue for you either. Stay below 8,000 feet and she will be OK.

At 3 months are women at the phase where they need to pee all the time yet? That could be a problem...

At three months they're pretty much past the initial pee every hour state, and not yet to the baby-on-bladder pee every hour state. I would suggest a restroom stop before leaving though, just to make sure.

I would be more concerned getting slapped when getting information for the W&B!

When my wife was pregnant we asked her doctor the same question when we were planning a trip. He asked how high we would be and I told him 6 or 7 thousand feet. He said he went skiing higher than that and she would be okay!!!!

She was about 6 months at the time and I had to make one "clean the pukey airplane" stop.... and no, it wasn;t because of my bad flying!!!
