Ringing Ears??

Or should I say ear. I woke up two days ago and my left ear has been ringing ever since. It's like there is a constant whistle. I do not hear it in my right ear, only the left ear.

Good, Bad, any self remedies?

No traumas, exposure to loud music, noise, etc......

What to do?

Probably a blocked eustachian tube. Try Afrin twice a day along with a non-sedating antihistamine like Claritin. If you get pain, see a doc to see if it is infected. Try to "pop" it too.

to add onto ringing ears...suppose if your ear rings at random times and can't get it to stop nor can predict when it's going to happen. What can this be?

Several possibilites including: blocked eustachian tubes, 8th nerve damage from either noise or actual nerve damage, ear infection and rarely a tumor of the 8th cranial nerve (acoustic neuroma).

The starting evaluation is a good ear exam and a audiometry hearing test. If it gets worse, you should see an ENT doc for a further evaluation.

Just in a good mood - all my grades are currently As, I am relaxed, settled in school, not stressing about money or music, just listening to dope ass music and I just feel like a G'd up gangsta spinning on 34s of to get some hos (I looked in the phone book, there are a lot in Korea).
