| Lasik surgery is an option when you want to improvew your refraction. The FAA has a brochure on this http://www.faa.gov/pilots/safety/pil...aserEye_II.pdf where they very nicely discuss the issues. Most of the time the results are good but htere are instances where there is scarring and refractive error. This is a real problem at night. I would look for someone who does refractive surgery exclusively. Often the results change your vision from 20/200 to 20/40 or 20/60 but not to 20/20/ Also, as you age you will still need to wear reading glasses for near vision. |
