i've been a long time reader of the website and i think its great. i have had alot of questions answered just read through the threads. i hope to be flying the skies very soon. my question is about getting the first class medical. when i was 20 i went to the coast guard. i was only there for about 5 weeks when i decided that i did not want to be there anymore. i had an honorable discharge. i was never active. so my question is when i go for my first class medical do i have to answer yes to military or can i just mark it no??? |

Ummm . . . I'm pretty sure there's no "military" question on the FAA medical certificate application form.

The Form 8500-8 asks if you have been medically disharged from or medically rejected from the service. Your answer would be No. There should be no problem. Good Luck! |
