During the airline hiring process, does the employer personally check the medical history of an applicant or do they leave that up to the doctors and Oklahoma City to verify that the health history of a pilot is up to class I specifications and there policies and leave it at that? If airlines do review an applicants health history, what are they looking for and how far back do they look? Are their any instances where a person could hold a valid class I medical and be denied hire by an airline simply because of medical/ health history reasons? I thank you for your input. I recently recieved my private certificate and am considering flying as a profession. I just want a full understanding of the process. |
