Default heat fatigue

I'm sure most of you know its rough doing maneuvers (stalls, ground ref, emergency procedures, etc) in a small, single engine plane in very hot weather. This is my second time out of about 10 flights that I have started to sweat and become light-headed during the end of the flight. I don't know what to make of it. I don't know if its normal or its just me and if this will ultimately affect my career choice. What are ways to not get in this situation and trust me the fans don't do nothing.

When you're doing manuevers you can go up a couple thousand feet and there is a noticable difference in temperature. If you're in the pattern you're pretty much screwed and you have to deal with it. Drink lots of water before you go up or bring some with you to sip on.

I dont know where ya from, but brotha, you dont know hot until you fly in Miami/South Florida during the summer months. You're lucky that you just begin to sweat at the end of the flight. Its so hot down here that I'm soaking wet before the engine starts.

Hot and rough weather are just things you will have to deal with when flying during the summer months.

And yes, its normal, deal with it

Are you letting your instructor know that you're are starting to get light headed, or you just trying to deal with it?

Sounds like dehydration to me. We have a problem with that down here in our 100 degree heat in TX. I ALWAYS carry a water bottle in the plane with me.

"They" say it supposed to get down to 80 here sometime this week. "They" also said that last week. If I ever find out who "they" are, I might have to hurt them....

Sounds like dehydration to me also. Take a water bottle with you, every 20 minutes, have your instructor take the controls, take a swig and take the controls back. I know a guy doing his private over in Tampa during the summer would wear a cammelback when he went flying, said he could drink and not have to let the instructor take over for a minute.

Or use this opportunity to learn how to fly and retrieve things in the cockpit at the same time. Good luck with your training.
