Lateral and vertical phoria tests

Does anyone remember the test where in one eye you have blank lines of staff music and in the other eye are music notes without the lines? With normal stereo vision the notes are superimposed over the lines. If your eye muscles pull out your eye(exophoria) or in (esophoria) the test determines this based upon where you see the notes on the lines. I passed my first class September 3 years ago and scheduled to renew. My examiner made some comment that I was "a little off" on this but that it wasn't a big deal. This was 3 years ago and I'm just a little paranoid. I just told him truthfully what I saw... Wondering what you guys saw???

Some DME's now also use a handheld ocular line aligner. You put the gadget on your eye and rotate a knob until the lines line up.

But I remember the staff note thingy from grade school - years ago.
