Is there a point at which i can specify terminal or enroute? I DO NOT want enroute at all. Is there something I can do or do I have to just take what they offer me? I really don't want enroute, but I hate to turn down an offer in hopes I'll get what I want. Any insight?

when you fill out your GEO pref they will ask if you want to go enroute or terminal or both. click terminal

You'll take it and you'll like it! And you'll ask for more! And you'll say please and thank you sir! ...I've been watching some movies with R. Lee Ermey lately.

| Keep in mind that it is merely a preference, depending on what states you choose you could be selected for an en route facility regardless.

| Exactly. It's not uncommon for people to select Terminal ONLY and still get selected for a Center. If you don't want the center in most cases they'll say too bad and send you on your way with no job.

I would have taken anything they offered without hesitation, so I chose the "Terminal or Enroute" option. Too bad they do not have a "Will go anywhere for job" option.

we all have our preferences. I really really want to go to Center, but I will take anything they give me.

baseballguy, i guess what i should be saying is that i don't want to be in a center. i have previously held four ratings in a RAPCON (i think they are called tracons now). i just want to build on the experience i already have as opposed to starting over at square one in a tower or center. plus my friend at boston center went the center route after being a tracon controller and she hates it. she said it is a lot harder lol. but yes, i will definately take anything they give me, but i will also crosstrain the first opportunity i get if it's not in a TRACON!!!!! i love working approach, what can i say. | It gets tiresome constantly having to listen to jokes being explained.

If you really don't want a center, my best suggestion would be to select states that do not have a center. Otherwise, you're just left to the whims of the selection panels.

As Barty said, you can always select states that don't have centers, and would ensure you don't get sent to one. States like Michigan, North Dakota, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Missouri would be good picks.

| Except that some people still get assigned to states they didn't select.

I noticed in "BaseballGuy's" timeline, that it shows him as receiving his GEOPREF and a referral list for PUBNAT8,....? Is this the case. I am also a PUBNAT8 guy but have not seen any referral lists posted on the ASAP site. Also have not received any referral list mentioned. Any ideas?
