it's only the 3rd day, and emails haven't gone out since tuesday I'm pretty sure the emails aren't done going out yet.

I agree on the strangeness. I'm a PUBNAT2 reject and I kinda stopped lurking after I didn't get chosen to go to Lousiana, so now that PUBNAT7 is picking up again, I'm back! And I've been trying to read through thr PUBNAT5/6 thread but I must've missed the part as to why the PUBNAT 5 & 6 was even "combined" to begin with. So if you applied for PUBNAT 5 AND 6, then you're PUBNAT5 geo pref. aren't even looked at?! Or do they look at all 4 state preferences?! Confusing!

they look at each one seperately, so technically you could have 4 state preferences if you applied to both announcements. I don't think it gives you any advantage to have applied to both other than the fact that you get 4 geo prefs instead of 2.

They just kinda got combined when 5 took forever to test.

Ok heres a question. I got the e-mail and tried to schedule the test for Sat June 6th. It is full so I just picked the 5th. I cannot really make any other day than the 6th and even then it is a long shot. Its in Phoenix BTW. My problem is I am getting married a week after that and I cannot take anymore time off work.

Will the FAA let me take it some other time or do I have to take it during this time frame?

They're pretty rigid about where and when you take it. I was afraid I was going to run into the same problem. My AT-SAT ended up being 3 weeks before my wedding. Your best bet is to call aviation careers, since Robinson Aviation (the guys who actually run the test) probably won't be able to tell you much.

Hey captain crashmo,

As far as HCF goes, I'm not sure what the staffing levels are. Only thing I know is that you need clearance to get to the tower because it's at Hickam.
