Default Zaon mrx?

Just a quick question: what do you guys/gals think of the PCAS, like ZAON MRX? Worth it or not?

Nothing beats the old Mk 8 Eyeballs, but the PCAS helps me alot.

I think it is a piece of crap. All it does is beep at you and tell you a distance and altitude, not a direction. Try going into busy airspace and the damn thing is constantly beeping. I especially love when it picks up the 737 five miles away and climbing 2000' above you but it can't figure out the other GA plane 1 mile away 500' below. ATC gives you the traffic alert and the stupid PCAS thing is still telling you about the 737.

I agree with Loadmaser, visual scanning is still the best.

I used to have some of the same problems. Once I actually read the instructions, I figured out how to draw the alert radius down and it works much better.

I used mine until the batteries that came with it died, then put it away till I had to give it back, AKA let go.
