Default Panama City

Can someone at or recently through Panama City give us an update? How is housing, is it busy, is it a good ATP location as compared to the others? Thanks.

I've heard that the Panama City housing is pretty nice, but it's messy... so not so nice. Not sure about how busy it is. I think they have a few students in the beginning of instrument stage.

If you're looking for REALLY nice housing really close to the airport, I'd HIGHLY recommend looking at the RDU location.

I went through Panama City KPFN, Private-CFI's. The housing is pretty decent. When I was there, we hardly ever had max capacity apartments. Meaning 2 to a room was not common. I shared a room only for little whiles. I finished in early July 2008 so I have no idea how it is now. I liked the airport though. The town is kind of trashy but you are there for flight training and not really for anything else anyways. But then there is the beach and resort stuff if you need a day or afternoon to unwind which is nice. Just don't make a habit out of doing that as you will struggle if you don't stay on top of your flying and studies. I was satisfied with Panama City as my choice. Also, after going to a bunch of the other ATP locations on x-country flights, I liked Panama better IMO.

Good luck
