I know the 90-day daily schedule varies by weather, dispatch scheduling, and instructors' schedules, but I have a question for those of you in or who have completed the 90 program. Does the 90-day curriculum allow for at least a couple of hours per day for exercise, running the business back home, etc., or is it all consuming? Any experiences and anecdotes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys.

Thanks guys. How many hours a day of downtime (non-studying, non-flying) did you generally have?

Pretty much depends where your at in the program. Some cross-country days I had off, others leaving apartments early and not getting back till late (11-ish). I got most my writtens done before starting and that definitely helped a lot.

| Junior Member | well.. if i were to start at 8AM, during the career program.. you would be done by 12 noon, with both ground, and flying, just depending on weather, scheduling, etc. some days I wouldnt go in until 12 or 3 in the PM and I'd be done by about 5 or 6 with the sim and ground, or flight. some days I would just go in at 12 noon for ground, and be done at 1. Just make sure you have something to get you away from school. Like Xbox, or TV, something... It's a relief to just get away for a day and not worry about anything..

You should be able to manage time to do some things on the side. My experience in the cross country stage was 4 days on, 1 day off. But remember what you are there for. Part of the benefit of ATP is the full submersion. Eat, sleep and breathe it for best results.

I went in with 95% of my Instrument rating done, and had alot of down time also, since I didn't need all the built-in sim time. So I spent one day a week surfing and the rest of my off time studying @ SBUX. I also did most of my dual x-countries @ nite, which left my days free. During the "X-country Phase" though, my partner and I had maybe 1-2 days off total. We flew from KRAL to the east coast and back, so they kept us moving. And as for CFI school...Day off? HAHA, you're funny. ![]() Check 6, Air Pirate out. ...in other words, don't expect time off...but don't be surprised by it either... |

For the first part of the ACPP my schedule was pretty much 10-5 most days. The only days it got later then that was when I had to get some night flying in for a requirement. During the cross country phase I flew for almost 14 days straight starting at around 9am and getting back some days as late as 10. During the comm. phase I only came in for my flights. CFI school is 14 days straight 12 to 14 hour days.

Here are 2 charts I made. Haha, one is based on workload, and one is based on difficulty. If your workload is less than a 7, you will have an easy 3 -4 hours a day to either drink beer, look at porn, grille, throw a football, watch married with children, water the plant you named after the hot flight instructor, sleep, go to the bar, feed the wolves (I swear to god Nick, there were wolves!), you and your roommate challenge yourselves to eat a whole KFC family feast, or decorate your walls with pretty posters of the mnemonics ATP teaches you to remember your stuff. Not that I did any of the above, of course. Hope this helps!

![]() I went through and I drank beer every night during the PPL, INST, COM phases and most every night during CFI school. The only part that was really tough was the CFI portion. I really had to bust my arse during the day. I don't know if it was my location or instructors but it was pretty laid back the whole time except for CFI school of course.

| Agreed she wasn't anything to get excited about. Not my type at all but I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. Usually aviation doesn't breed the sexiest females but there are some cases so I have heard.

Those charts are too complicated, and if you can understand them, you will do fine at ATP. Rob, by accident I assume, missed two key activities - Power Hour and HALO. I was not a big fan of Married with Children, but rather Showdown in Old Seoul. It was a show shown on the Korean channel, and I was hooked. But, since I could not understand Korean, I was not sure when it came on. It was always a crap shoot, but well worth the risk. Seriously, depending on which location you go to, ATP will be some of the best weeks of your life. I think I speak for a few people here when I say, PICK YOUR LOCATION VERY CAREFULLY! Think...Boot Camp vs. Club Med

Club DAB should be included to the $50,000 vacation list. Can you say "Wing House" or "Lollipops"?!?
