Anyone want to help out a starving student and prospective ATP student with a manual or any info on this so I can get a jumpstart on figuring it out? I start the PPL on 5 April.

I learned the thing by downloading the trainer from that website. Just play around with it for a couple hours on your computer and you'll have the gist of it.

Here it is... Garmin 430 Trainer it is 13.5 meg so those on dial-up beware. However, it's a great little sim for the garmin. We send this URL to our short program students via our "scheduled student" website. It gets them fairly familiar with it prior to showing up. Hope that helps! Bob |

After re-reading your post, I'm thinking that the following may help you a bit better. Garmin GNS430 Quick Reference Guide Garmin GNS430 Pilot's Guide (Full Manual) These are in PDF format. You can save them to your computer and review them from there, or print them out if you like. Hope that helps. Bob |

Captain Bob, Thanks that is what I was looking for. I think that info plus the simulator should help me, and anyone starting soon, out. Thanks again for helping make the decision to attend ATP very easy.. |
