[quote=SIUav8er;880057]Its actually for the better. Smaller airports = less IFR traffic. Its nice not having to sit on the ground #5 for an IFR release. Enjoy the program, its a blast!quote] LZU- ILS RWY 25 RNAV (GPS)-A VOR/DME OR GPS RWY 07 NDB OR GPS RWY 25 FTY- ILS RWY 08 RNAV (GPS) RWY 26 RNAV (GPS) Y RWY 08 RNAV (RNP) Z RWY 08 VOR-A NDB OR GPS RWY 08 You WILL sit around and wait for your IFR release MUCH MORE departing from LZU opposed to FTY. The airspace NW and W of FTY is MUCH less congested. LZU airspace is the same airspace that PDK uses (think of a 40NM pie around with ATL in the center. Now cut that pie in four equal sectors running due N S and E W. The "pie" in the northeast quadrant is some of the busiest airspace in the world as far a satellite aircraft go.) It is best to go to AHN, 19A, IIY and shoot approaches as well as CHA, MCN, CSG, etc. Anything out of ATL 40DME. Also asking for approaches on a Wed., Thurs., Fri. afternoon is not a great idea. Do it early in the morning or after PM. I know this is not always possible, but practice approaches in airspace that handles some of the busiest satellite traffic in the world as well as the busiest airport in the world is a pain in the ***, and you will not always get it done. Any other questions PLEASE PM me. |
