| Howdy. Counting down the time left on island, 25 days to go. start June 2nd at the PHX location. With airlines shutting down and with the Wachovia incident is this such a great idea?... Called ATP and they said, "since my loan was approved a long time ago, like January 3rd, I had nothing to worry about." Perhaps I am getting all worked over nothing, but it none the less concerns me. Been in the ground side of aviation for a long time and know this industry is prone to its ups and downs. Still going...this is something I've wanted to do for a every long time. Anyone else going to PHX for their PPL on June 2nd? Any other skydivers out there? Skydive Arizona is only about 45 minutes away, got to do a jump now and then to keep that license current!

| Getting really close now...I start my PPL Monday at IAW, it is like looking out the door of the airplane at 15,000 feet; you still have the opportunity not to jump, but your next in line and you have people behind you waiting to go... and refusing to jump is like totally not cool. With the price of fuel, low living wages pilots earn in the beginning and reading about how you can get training done for cheaper, almost 10-20K cheaper and taking out an enormous debt...I keep asking my self...is this such a good idea? Kind of like the pre-jump jitters...any others in the same boat? Just my thoughts, thanks.

| Stay positive, never forget why you went into this in the first place. This is an industry only for the people who want it bad, otherwise go be a plastic surgeon. |

| I'm starting PPL on July 7th at KGKY (Arlington), and I have the same concerns from time to time, but keep in mind that this industry, like any other, will have ups and downs. The nice part about aviation is that it will never go away completely. We may be getting in at a strange time, but at least we're getting in. Feel good about your decision, Hawks. I'm so giddy to start I can hardly stand it. |
