I'm getting ready to do my multi and was wondering if ATP was Part 141 and VA approved?

Nope on both. Although the rumor was they are working on 141 (and therefore VA).

I heard today that the Pensacola location will be Part 141, but will start off being solely Private Students. My guess is once they gain their privates they'll keep going with the program from there.

I dont think ATP could do what they do in the amount of time they do it if they where under 141 rules. Just my opinion.... -Rob |

The approved part 141 Jepp syllabus I use for instrument/commercial takes forever. I can't imagine ATP ever getting part 141 approval for the ACPP, based on my experience in the program in 2006. Original Poster: You are talking about your Commercial Multi, correct? The VA doesn't pay for Private training, according to what my employer told me.

Also understand that just because a school is Part 141 it does not make them VA approved. The VA approval process can be long and drawn out, and if you conduct any training prior to approval - do not expect the VA to pay for any of it. Seek training at an already established Part 141 and VA Approved school to reduce any headache / frustration. |
