Default Model Airplanes

I read somewhere that you needed to bring a model airplane with you to training. Now I can't remember where I read it, but I did. Do you really need one of these? If so where do you get them ? If you do need to bring one what is it for? Now I collect model planes and the site that I buy from does not have anything like this.

Well I only did the 90 day program, and the only time we needed a model airplane was when we were doing our initial cfi check-ride. I mean you dont even technically need it but it is extremely helpful to have one on the initial ride. Where to get them, well I burrowed my friends and I believe he got his a toys r us, it was a nice lil multi eng. light twin, at least i had some fun with it

Haha, no you dont need a model plane.

Its strange though, it seems like every ATP on the west coast has the same plastic red and yellow model airplane. Its a twin with spinning props.

Hey Rob, thanks for the answer. I am trying to get all the little things together before I send in my deposit. One thing I have to get is a new laptop, looking at a HP or gateway.

Thanks again,
sate

One word of advice on the laptop....

MOST ATP apartments are in not-so-good areas. I know of two ATP apartments that have been robbed. When my roommate moved in he brought his laptop with him and it was nice to have it, but it wasnt needed. Unfortunatly a few weeks after I left our apartment was robbed and so was that laptop, along with an ipod, digital camera, GPS and clothes. So just be careful with expensive equipment. You also have random people coming and going.

Okay just how bad are we talking here ? Do they mess with your car ? I would just have to take my laptop with me while away from the apartment, and the digital camera as well. The IPOD and other things I can do without. Plus you can get renters insurance real cheep.
