Well I have decided that I am going to go through the 90 day fast track program and I was just curious to learn about everybody's experiences and opinions about it. Also, I am curious to how intense was it. How much R&R were you given, or was is eat, sleep, fly, wash, rinse, and repeat? Did the time fly by, or were you counting down the days when it would be over? [beginning of girly moment] While I am excited about this, I am just trying to prepare myself mentally. Not to get all girly on you, but I haven't been away from my girlfriend for more than two weeks and I am also trying to prepare myself mentally for that. [end of girly moment] [continuation of manly moment] How was the flying like? On the cross-country flights, do you only fly to ATP schools, or is it just random airports across the country? Again, any experiences and opinions would be great. Thanks. |

Do a search on this forum and you'll find lots of experiences. I'll post my final thought in 2 weeks when I'm done. And I would take down that skybus logo or you will be very disliked. -Rob |

Well to answer some of your questions, it was a pretty good experience. I am doing the 90 day program over at the RIC location and just finished up my CMEL and getting ready for the CSEL and off to CFI school. The cross country trips are pretty fun depending where you are based out of. Majority of them will send you to another ATP location to spend the night there, but there are tons of places that you go to that are not ATP locations. They are SET places you fly to because they have the fuel accounts with certain airports/FBOs. I have a pretty fun experience when I did my cross countries. The whole eat sleep rinse fly is all depending on you and how you study and how much you study, if you study really hard in the begining and take all your writtens BEFORE you start the program , then you will be able to relax a little bit during training. There are days you do get off and can visit you girlfriend if your location will be close by. Usually once you pass a checkride you have a few days off. If you are grasping things well then the instructor will give you a day off. Also you can ask for you if you really need some time off and you are getting stressed out. Even though there really is nothing to stress out on because they are there to help you out. You have time to go out on the town and check out the night life if you enjoy doing that sort of thing. As far as the days go, they will go by slow during your PMEL and your instrument training, but once you get that instrument training and you start your cross countries, time will fly by fasttttttt!!!! Cross countries will be over quicker then you can imagine, then its all of a sudden commercial stuff, then CFI so I really cant believe I am a commercial pilot now and getting ready for CFI school when I remember doing private mult training! hope all this helps and good luck with your aviation goals/career ![]() ![]() Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions! Pez

| Senior Member | It has nothing to do with being girly, I mean what did people think when they saw "Virgin" splashed on the side of a 747s tail. It has to do with the fact that they hire low time airbus pilots, who wouldnt get hired at other airlines normally. AND the fact they pay extremly low, and say its one of the way they "cut costs" to save the passengers money. It only hurts the pilot population in a time when we want to raise the pay for pilots. -Rob |
