| I did my pre-interview at the Bowling Green, KY location today. Trent was the instructor on hand and everything went very well. We chatted a bit in the beginning about his experience with ATP and the housing they use in Bowling Green. I was then given a simple 25 question test and if you have recently passed your PPL knowledge test you will have no problems…except the two questions about VYSE and standard procedures for single engine operations in a multi-engine airplane. Glad I went over the Seminole supplement before heading down this morning. After the test we did some sim time..very little sim time, which is fine by me. Entire interview lasted just about 1 hour and was super relaxed. As a bonus, I got signed off by my PPL instructor for a XC down to Bowling Green. At 181NM this was my longest to date!! Take care, Eric |

Has anyone ever failed the ATP interview? Is it actually and "interview" or more like a skills evaluation? Would like to know before I set one up-- |

One just went home and studied a bit more for 30 days and came back no problem... I don't think they even charged him for another interview... the other, I never heard from again. There's also a brief interview and a Sim/FTD session. Most folks really don't do that well in the FTD since they've never flown one before... but it's not about that. It's about how you respond to the direction that you are given in the FTD. Are you getting too frustrated and just giving up... or are you listening to what the CFI is saying and making appropriate corrections. In an accelerated program... it's obviously important to know that the student is open to the learning process. If you are on a site like JC.com... and really researching aviation as a career... then I'd wager that your the type of person who would come prepared. No worries. ![]() Bob

Do you already have your PPL? I am finishing mine up and trying to get to ATP and test before Oct 31. If I can go take the test now, I'm going up there and doing that . . .

Jerry, I don't have my PPL yet. I have 43hrs and I took and passsed my written one week ago. I should take my practicle in the next 2 weeks. It's amazing how bad your steep turns get when all you have been doing are XC's for 3-weeks |

My steep turns suck, the biggest thing to remember is to LOOK OUTSIDE. The second I start staring at those instruments it all goes to hell, but if Im looking at the horizon, its all good. -Rob | |
