GH is an Allegiant Air Captain. The guy in my class passed with flying colors with him. In fact he was so good GH gave him his card and said call me when you have 3000 hrs. Know your stuff and you should be fine. They have a gouge on him in Vegas. The female in vegas is with the FAA. My buddy has a 10 hr oral with her and long flight with her the next day. He said he felt it was a discussion about aviation and didn't feel like he was asked a single question. I've heard only one person has failed with her and it was on pattern work which is her big thing. So you get almost a guaranteed pass for going thru and extremely long checkride.

Yea, I have heard GH has really quick orals, about 3 or 4 hours. Just gets straight to it. Other than that, I haven't heard whether he was "easy" or "tough." I'm the only one with him. Pretty much the rest of the class got BL.

The person you guys above are referring to with the long orals is TJ, I know a few people who have sat with her for 10 hours!!!

I wouldn't say any examiner for the Initial is easy. But you have a good chance with GH. Study up!

The DE in FLL is a great guy, I spent some time talking to him while sitting in FLL one day. A guy who just went though the program here took his inital with the DE...said he pretty much sat down, brought out the PTS...flipped to different tasks and told him to tell him everything about that task. 2-3 hour oral seems to be the norm. During the flight...pay attention to what he says, he might show you a different way to do a maneuver and then he'll have you do it again. Dont make dumb mistakes and make sure you talk about everything that you're doing in the plane...

Hope that helps out...

Of course, def. didnt mean it in that way. Just the fact that some DEs here have about a 10 hour ON AVERAGE oral, and some seem to have 3 or 4 hour orals. Not to mean that either one is easier though...
