Default Uniforms

I read through all 80+ pages of post topics, so I might have gotten confused. Is ATP requiring uniforms now? I know before they had the polos. There were no polo shirts in my PPL kit. Can somebody currently in the program let me know what the dress code situation is?

Thanks in advance.

I was instructor at ATP until this past February and the students were not required to wear uniforms. Whether they changed that requirement in the last month, I don't know. There's been talk about requiring a uniform for a while now, but still hasn't happened. So, who knows. Hope that helps.

Maybe they are reading JC... and have decided against uniforms based on our discussions?

I'm thinking that if they go to "uniforms" then it will most likely be a "uniform" look as in "all the same"... not... "White shirts with epaulets, black slacks & shoes, etc..."

I saw their instructor "uniforms" at the AOPA convention in PSP last year. It was very nice... more of a "business casual", navy slacks and denim button down with the logo.

If that's their idea of "uniform" then I'm more down with that than the whole "airline" uniform thing. In the meantime... I don't think it's changed for students... I'd say "comfort casual" is a good term for dress... and "business casual" for checkrides.
