Default Housing for instructors

Just assessing living options and crunching some numbers ....

From the ATP website: "At many training centers, ATP offers instructors housing for $300 per month. (fully furnished, no lease)"

I know ATP is doing hopping business, so I assume they allot housing first to the students, and then instructors, if space is available. If one gets hired, and instructs at one of the training centers with housing, how good are your chances of getting a spot in one of the apartments?

Very good... if you are at a 90-day training location... and you are an instructor... you will get housing.

I never saw it any other way when I was there. In fact... I had to help get some new apartments going for extra folks when I was instructing at the GKY location.

I don't think it says anywhere "based on availability..."

Essentially assured. They will generally rent more apartments if it becomes necessary.

Hey there! I was a student there in '03 and instructed from '03-'04...

It's changed a lot since I left... we used to be over in the FBO (Harrison), and we didn't have MX on the field when I was there. I was lucky enough to get hired at XJT just days before having to help move the entire office and SIMS to the new location where you are now!

I still live just 5 minutes from the airport... we should do lunch!

At the very least... check out the meet and greet forum... there's a few DFW/JC folks getting together this month.

What phase of training are you in?

Bob
