I'm doing the CFI program with ATP and I just got told my initial is next week. I only have 2 flights before that and I don't feel even close to ready. Is it normal to feel like this with their CFI program? |

It's normal. Just keep going over the lesson plans and reviewing systems and the FAR's. You should be fine.

Literally thousands of people before you have done it and you will to. I was in your position just about a year ago and had my doubts but in 14 days I had all three tickets. I've also seen people quit in the middle of it because they doubted themselves, people who would have gotten through it they just stick with it. Keep working hard, study, and be sure to get your rest as well! Goodluck

Where are you doing the class? Can you post a gouge when you are done?

yes consider yourself lucky for being signed off in the first place. More than half the people who got signed off did not feel ready but all did well with their checkrides, depends where you are I heared VGT used realley good people for examiners.

Thinking about ATPs CFI program. To take the CFI writtens, do you need a write off from a flight instructor that you took ground school, i am a little confused on that. Any answers would be a great helped. Thanks

nope. you don't need a sign off to take any of the 3 written exams, unless you failed then you need a sign off to re take the exam. Good luck to you |

| My checkride got pushed back due to certain delays. I am still not convinced it's going to work out as many in the CFI class before me have been failing their rides..... I find myself in a vicious cycle of being concerned one moment and feeling almost over confident another moment. I keep studying and studying---yet I still feel like the examiner will find some small detail to bust me on. |

Just relax, immerse yourself into your studies. They tell you what to study, and it seems like a lot - it is! But you can do it. And the night before the checkride, get LOTS of sleep. I slept almost the whole day before and had the best checkride I've ever taken. Goodluck! You'll do fine. | |
