Default Recommendation

Anyone know if there is a way to get a recommendation letter from ATP to take to an airline interview? I'm not talking about the RJ course letter, just a general one. Do they even write you one if you didn't do the RJ course or instruct for them?

Thanks!

Generally, we write letters of recommendation for current (or even sometimes former) instructors. I don't believe it would preclude you, however, from obtaining them from your instructors there. Are you looking for one from someone in particular?

Pretty much what Pfly said...

I remember that an actual letter of recommendation from ATP management could only be had if you were an instructor. That was becasue they had a significant opportunity to evaluate you over time.

I suppose the folks who do the RJ course get a LOR if they complete the course successfully because it at least shows ATP that one is capable of passing an airline style checkride with regards to advanced systems, turbine aircraft, memory items, flows, etc...

Anyway... my suggestion would be to get ahold of any of your previous instructors that you flew with at ATP (who are hopefully flying for regionals now) and ask them for letters of recommendation. That way they are coming from folks who actually flew with you and who are FO's at 121 airlines. Maybe one of them is at the airline you wish to interview at too...

Ok. Thanks for the reply guys. All of my previous instructors are flying for the regionals now, except one who still instructs for ATP.
