Default ATP Dallas (Arlington) Info wanted

Im getting ready to go down and take a visit and interview on 10/28. If chosen to attend... I'll be taking my training at that location. Does anyone have any opinions on the location or area?

Thanks Michael -

Hi Michael,

That's where I went...

I dug up an old post that I used to answer the same question a LONG time ago!

http://jetcareers.com/forums/showthr...boys#post46146

The biggest difference is that they are no longer at the Jet Center and are in their own offices on the field. They also have added student housing on the field as well as the apartments, and GKY has now become a major maintenance base for ATP as well.

They've added a new FTD since I left, and the new classrooms are great too.

Hope that helps!

Bob

Its very nice. You either stay in an apartment in the ATP facility on GKY or in an apartment about 6 minutes away (about 3mi down I-20). The apartments, at least the ones I've seen, are nice, clean and well furnished. Only critique is I was used to a queen sized bed so took a little getting used to to sleep on a twin. And sleeping in the same room as a stranger
The aircraft are in good condition, theres a full maintenance crew who take care of them (they don't like students so give them a wide bearth, but they usually stay in the mx hangar anyway.)
The CP is Kris Swan.
The instructors are good. IMHO it is the best ATP location out there.
