Has anybody completed ATP's 90 day program then instructed at an FBO while they finished college? I know there are some college students out there who instruct at the same time. How difficult is it to do this? Long story short, one year from graduating college I'm switching majors and schools which is going to leave me about 5 months of downtime. In this time I'd like to enable myself to begin making money flying instead of paying to fly. What do you all think of this?

It all depends on the flight school and your school load. Right now im a Jr. and have been instructing for 4 months after taking a semester off for the 90 day program. The cheif pilot where i work is very understanding and puts a lot of value on a college degree. Ive put my all my classes onto 2 days so that leaves 5 days to fly. It can be a lot going on at some times, but if you plan ahead its just like have any other job while going to school except for money

This is what I plan on doing. Know a few other people that have and it seems to work out fine. They just dont get the extra multi time that they would get instructing at ATP.
