| Im not sure if this is the place to ask this but at some point in our training there has to be a time when we can write some of this stuff off on our taxes (flight training, books, checkrides, ect.). Is there anyone here who may know more about this type of thing, any money i can save will be great. |

| Old Skool | As an instructor write off everything.....EVERYTHING! You get 1099'd. The IRS doesnt ahve the manpower or time to go after someone who made 12K last year.

| I believe that if you are using any portion of the program or supplies for a degree (ex: UVSC or ERAU extended campus) then you can write the program cost off as educational expense. But then again, I'm no tax man. I just hand him a disorganized pile of crap and tell him I really don't want to pay anything.
