Default Pre-ACPP Study advice

I just got into the ACPP in JAX and received my books. I know I need to study for the Instrument written and hte commercial written if I get a chance, but what about the Multi? Should I just read the manual front to back or focus on certain things like limitations? For anyone whose gone through the program, should I focus on getting the instrument done or also devote some study to multi...

Here is what I would recommend:

-Study for your writtens, get as many done as you can before you start the ACPP.
-Study and know the ATP Supplement book!!!
-Look over the Seminole POH.

your priority should be to study two things:
1. piper seminole training supplement
2. instrument written exams (IRA, CFII, IGI)

if you have addtional time, study for the commercial, FIA and FOI exams.

Especially study pages 1-14 of the supplement.

Also, on ATP's website, they have a downloadable MP3 of pages 1-14 (chklsts and systems). It is not the most exciting thing to listen to over and over again, but you can listen to it in your car and within a short time, you will have it all down cold.

I downloaded the Piper supplement about a week ago. Man, there is a lot of information in that 50 page supplement. I managed to memorize the V-speeds. I guess that's a start.

You'll get there.... Know the V-speeds, and the major systems, esp. the fuel system. Also know some of the altitude call outs, approach call outs, etc.

Get a good working knowlege of Vmc and the factors that effect it (SMACFUM-Holla if ya herd me!).

Know the engine-out checklist cold!

On the ATP home page goto the "Scheduled Student info." You'll need a password which you should have already gotten from ATP. There, you'll find the Seminole supplement in PDF form and the MP3 file on the Seminlole systems.

I've got a wall poster of the 2000 Seminole cockpit for table flying. If anyone is interested in one you can order it from the UND book store.
