| Old Skool | Hi dmlong, No discount for not using the apartments... They are a fixed cost and built in to the price of the program. I'd recommend taking one even if you love close by. That way if you need a place to hang/crash/sleep during the program then you can. Study sessions, Late night cross countries, and extended weather delays, can be much nicer if you can just hang at the apartment, grab a quick nap, have a place to go eat lunch without eating out... etc. Also... it gives you a chance to decide what location you want go to... If you live in the north and want to fly down south during the winter then you may decide on Dallas, Jax, PHX, etc... If you live out east then maybe you want to mix it up and fly out of Riverside, Sacremento, etc.. If you live in the midwest and want to fly and train in and around larger airspace then Trenton, Manassas, DFW, or Atlanta would be good choices. Living away from home also helps you focus on studying... no friends, family, and old habits around to get in your way, and you are living with individuals with the same goals. So since the apartments are a fixed cost... use them to your advantage. Hope that helps... and... Good luck! Bob
