| Hey, all! Just wondering if any of you on this forum are instructing at any of the ATP locations currently. I know some of these questions are covered elsewhere, but those threads aren't necessarily up to date. I have a couple questions for you, and would like a current perspective. 1. About how many flight hours are you averaging right now? 2. How many instructors would you say ATP hires versus how many apply? 3. How long did you have to wait after completing your training at ATP, before you were able to begin instructing there? Thanks in advance! Also, feel free to let me know at which location you instruct and any impressions of the location. Thanks, again! ![]() |

| Old Skool | I'm currently instructing (for one more week anyways ) in Phoenix. The past month I think I got about 80 hours. This month if I get more then 40 I will be suprised. Between November and June I was anywhere between 110 and 50. Of the students that went through out here only about 10% applied to be instructors at ATP. As far as I know they were all hired. That number is an anomoly. Mostly it is closer to 50% with about 85% of those that apply actually getting a job. I waited 2 weeks after finishing up the program before I started work in JAX. |

Have you been hired somewhere else? ![]() |

| I instruct in Chicago and there's two of us up here. We each are getting 40-50 hours a month plus a couple career pilots each, but flying during the summer is considerably more busy than in winter. I started working for ATP about a week after graduating college. |

| I work in JAX. I've been on about two weeks. I've had six sign off's and five out of six passes on the first try. Long days, lots of hours. Take it one day at a time and it's great. I've probably logged about 25 hrs so far. Next week is going to be really busy ![]() |
