| Well, arguably. Anyway, I'm starting the career pilot program on monday and was wondering if we're expected to wear the polo shirts that were sent to us. If I choose incorrectly either way, I'll be "that guy," and probably have to drop out of training, ending my dream of a flying career in shame. Thanks (but seriously, do we wear them?). |

[/ QUOTE ] I no longer work for ATP but the sentiment is that if you want to instruct for ATP, your job interview starts the day you start trianing. Even up to and including the Cessna Citation flight. You should know that ATP is not the end all. If you can't instruct there doesn't mean the end of your career/dream. I got fired from ATP and I would not say my career is over. In fact it probably will be better since the reason I got fired shows I have integrity. But do the right thing, wear the polo, study hard and fly under the radar. If you don't get hired atleast you can say you gave it your best. Good Luck. |

| Old Skool | Depends on what location you are at. Some locations (mostly ones that start with J and end with AX) sort of require it. Others don't. Wear it on the first day and see what the other students are doing. I mostly only wore mine on my cross countries. What location are you starting at? BTW: Victor, sorry to hear about that. It sounds like you are doing alright on the outside world. |

| I am doing ok. I have a lot of things to sort out still. I am flying part time for a company that owns a Mojave and I will be moving to the turbo Commander shortly. The company right now doesn't do enough flying so I am looking to get with a school where I can do a lot of multi teaching. I have had several offers for single engine instructing but I turned them down on the chance of getting the multi spots. Crazy I know. |

| Wear the shirt! Why would you not? Join the team, and start being a team player! Says alot about a person if they're willing to look the part, regardless of whether or not it's the "cool" thing to do! ![]() [ QUOTE ] I have had several offers for single engine instructing but I turned them down on the chance of getting the multi spots. | I am certain that with my experience and knowledge I would excel at your company. However, at this time I need more than you can offer. |

| I rather like the polo shirt. The black lettering on my shirt with the red lettering looks really good. It sure as heck beats wearing epauletts, tie, and a white shirt, while tryin to instruct in the JAX midday heat. |
