Hey guys, just for interest, what altitudes do you guys fly at in the slowtations? |

My citation flight was in the 501 last summer. I think (not entirly clear) we were up at 280. Also, we did a VFR leg at about 3500 I think. Ethan |

I don't think the 501 is RVSM equipped, and thus will be limited to 280.

I went up to FL310 last summer in the Citation.

RVSM was not implemented in the US until this past January, so last summer it was OK to go that high. The CJ2 has a service ceiling of FL450 with a step climb (climb to a lower altitude, level off then resume climb to FL450 after burning off some fuel). It can climb continuously up to FL430. Don't know if the CJ2 is RVSM or not however. |

One thing I gotta point out (not trying to rain on ATP's parade, I consider them the best out of the big schools) but the jet they just bought is a 1993 CitationJet (nowadays called a CJ1). The CJ2 has a stretched fuselage and bigger engines, among other improvements, so those performance numbers may not pertain to ATP's jet.
