Yeah, I think they do. They stay at the same place the student live in. I think they take $200/month out of your paycheck or something. Someone correct me please if I'm wrong |

Yea I heard $200 too. I guess its the same rate the students pay but now it comes from your paycheck instead of your tuition. Helps a lot if your only making $1000 per month. |

IF you end up instructing at one of the 90 day Career Pilot program locations, they'll put you up in the same apartment complex you're in as a student (which usually tend to be pretty decent places). It's setup where it can be as many as 4 instructors to a 2 bedroom apt, but in ATL it was 2 to an apt, when I was there (just depends on how many students they have at the time). Your check will be $800/mo instead of $1000/mo (not including bonuses for your students passing checkrides) if you stay in the apts. If you end up at one of the smaller locations, you'll get $1000/mo, and have to find your own housing. It's apparently doable, cause I knew a few of the instructors at the small locations, and while they weren't living in luxury, they were getting by. If you get hired by ATP, you have the choice of going wherever they need instructors (getting you out of the office quicker, but may have to get your own housing), or telling them where you'd like to instruct (top 3 choices). If you go the latter route, you may sit in the office a loooong time until your location opens up. But, this may allow you to get a location where housing is provided. Hope this helped. |
