My husband plans on attending the 90 day fast track course at ATP this summer. Our question is, how hard (or easy) is it to become an instructor for ATP? Is there a waiting list? Will we most likely have to relocate? Thanks in advance for your help!!! |

If there is a new hire class starting and instructors needed, he will be interviewed. There may be a waiting list. Depends on if they need instructors or not. He will have to relocate to Jacksonville. All instructors start out at the Home Office and work there until thier prefered location opens up, or a location they can tollerate opens up. Just some notes... his pay check will not be great... $1000 a month is what it was the last time I checked... I dont' forsee it changing anytime soon. He will also be concitered an Independant Contractor, which means that ATP does not pay taxes on them and they do not any sort of insurance, so you had better have a good job to cover those expenses. I would suggest you guys take a look at instructing at other schools where he can make more $$ based on hourly wages. It might take longer to build hours, but it might be better in the long run too. Good Luck |

Hey, thanks for the info. How long do most people end up being in Jacksonville while they wait? |

Depends on how long it takes for them to get a location. Could be a week, could be 4 months. I was there for 2 months.
