Been following this topic for awhile. After lots of research and final approval from the bank, I think ATP is the best choice for me. Can anyone recommend Dallas or Jax, as I'm equal distance from either. Additionally, what writtens would ya'll recommend I take before I go to ease a little of the stress. Thanks, Arney |

Come out to Dallas and take as many writtens as possible before you show up! There are quite a few posts in the forum archives about the virtures of ATP Dallas (and the other ATP locations for that matter). Just look around and if you have any specific questions, just PM me. Jeremy |

I can recommend against Jacksonville, but anywhere else is OK. Get the writtens done soon.

All of the above! I too had the same decision to make. In the end I chose Dallas, the better choice. Jeremy, you make it on with XJet? eric |

[ QUOTE ] What's up with Jax? Too corporate? Crappy apts? [/ QUOTE ] Apartments in Jax are actually very nice. I find the office too chaotic, too competitive, and some of the Strange people at the Jax office make life harder than it needs to be. ![]() Places like Stuart are quiet, friendly, relaxed, and have beaches. They also have really nice apartments! |

I did all my training in Jax. Private and Career program. It is definitely more intense there. They have main office personnel there all the time. Meaning the training is more intense. I like the pressure and the competitiveness, but it isn't for everyone. Dallas is pretty cool and someday, hopefully soon they will finish getting that control tower in. It is a pretty busy airport. Someone, not ATP mind you, got a little confused and almost hit us. But the location and facilities are great, especially since they moved.

You'll get the best training at JAX. Eveyone knows it, but few will admit it. The others are right tho, it is more intense there.

is there something wrong with the instructors at the other locations, like riverside? I've been thinking about going there.

I'm in the 90 day program at Dallas..so I'm biased But the new office is really nice.. all 2000 model Seminoles are sweet and the instructors are great guys to be around..The busy airspace is great experience and the weather gives good days for getting actual but enough clear days for visual stuff.. If you have any more questions about ATP Dallas feel free to drop me a PM |
